Open Question: Car Seat grumble... is this just par for the course?
My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been sick, and on the way to the doctor today, she threw up all over herself and her car seat. : ( I didn't think cleaning up the seat would be a big deal. Her previous car seat had an easy to remove washable/dryable cover. However this car seat had to be uninstalled just to remove the cover and then the cover could only be hand-washed and air-dried. Grrr.. Just the added 'fun' I didn't need today. Is it worth complaining to the manufacturer about the thoughtless design? PQ: What kind of car seat(s) do you have, and is the cover easily removed and able to be machine washed/dried?
Open Question: Is it fair to work 93 hours for $400 a week?
I work for a company my brother manages where I sit by my home desk answering calls 6 six days a week. Monday-Thursday I wait for calls for 15 hours straight and all Saturday. Friday my schedule is normal. He told me they would cover costs for certifications and people would die to have this opportunity, but I haven't been taught much by his business partner who is suppose to teach me. I don't have much experience (I'm 21) but as an IT help desk, I was told I'm suppose to make at least $10/hr full-time or at least 35k/yr salaried. He told me I'm salaried, but these hours make me feel caged, especially when I rely on this to support myself. He informed me that if I can't handle it, they will get another person and reduce my pay to 300/week. There's another help desk worker, but he doesn't seem bothered by it. Would people die for this position? Shouldn't I be payed more? When I went for training in another state, my brother got in a car accident and I was in the passenger seat. He supports our two teenage brothers and I was arguing with him because there was barely any food in the apartment. I feel guilty because the roads were icy but I was so bothered that he would have complimentary lunch from his work while our brothers couldn't have lunch in school. As a result, the front of his sports car is damaged and making me pay $600/month to help cover cosmetic damage :-/
